The Festival’s Aim:
The Festival is aiming to promote the vocal and artistic qualities, along with the musical creativity of all the artists performing on the stage.
The advertising is to be done mostly by the national network of the Children Palaces and Clubs, County Boards of Education, as well as by other means of specialized mass-media and social networks.
The Festival contains 2 musical genres:

The International Children and Youth Music Festival „HermannstadtFest“ Sibiu is an annual event held in 2 stages:
Entry Stage
Final Stage
1. ENTRY STAGE
Attending rules and entry forms:
Minimum age: 6 years old. There could be exceptions of younger children accepted.
Maximum age: 20 years old.
The applications could be done by e-mail:

The application file should be sent no later than 1st may 2017
The content of the application file:
- The application form fully filled in
- Copy of the Identity Card or Birth Certificate
- Copy of the payment proof of the sponsorship sum of money
*For one section, the sum of money is 50 euro
For the second section there is an additional sum of 30 euro.
If the entry is intended for 3 sections, 30 euro should be payed for each section.
- 1 recent colour photo, portrait
- The written parental consent to the organizer for using photos and Youtube links
- The recorded accompaniment for the songs chosen to sing during the contest
The sponsorship sum of money should be payed no later than 1st June 2017 with the sum for an overnight stay.

POP MUSIC
- Performing
Category 6-8 years
Category 9-11 years
Category 12-14 years
Category 15-20years
The song should not exceed 4 minutes
A maximum of 12 Romanian competitors and 3 foreign competitors will be accepted for each age category.
TRADITIONAL FOLK MUSIC
Category 6-9 years
Category 10-14 years
Category 15-20 yers
The song should not exceed 4 minutes . The performers should be costumed in traditional outfits and are expected to know details about the traditional costumes they wear.
THE SPONSORSHIP SUM OF MONEY
The sponsorship sum of money should be payed no later than 1st June 2017, at:
Solo – 50 euro
For the second section there is an additional sum of 30 euro

* In case of one or more categories not completed, the age categories could be modified
2. FINAL STAGE
The Jury will decide which song will be performed in the competition.
The age category with less than 10 competitors will be mingled with another age category
The organizers will not take any responsibility concerning the copyright or any other rights of the songs performed in the competition, the competitors being only responsible for all the direct or indirect consequences of their participation in the competition
The competitors will perform the songs with digital recorded orchestral accompaniment and singing LIVE

THE JURY
The Jury members will be: composers, TV and Broadcasting producers, well-known performers, jurnalists, specialized teachers and representatives from the organizers.
Miscellaneous:
If a competitor will perform a song composed by a Jury member, that Jury member will refrain from giving mark to that competitor.
If a competitor had been studying with a Jury member, that Jury member will refrain from giving mark to that competitor.
If a competitor is somehow related to a Jury member, that Jury member will refrain from giving mark to that competitor.
In such cases the mark will be given by a teacher from the Children Palace Sibiu.
The Jury will consider the quality of the performance, the vocal qualities, the stage presence and also the outfit.
In case of equality among competitors, the President of Jury will decide the winner or the hierarchy.
The decision of the Jury is irrevocably.

*These awards will be given for each age category for each music genre.

*There are also special prizes awarded by the Jury, partners and sponsors.
*The prizes will be in money and/or objects.
* The prizes will be awarded according to the Jury’s decision, that is irrevocably.
*The organizers are entitled not to award the Trophy for the sections where the best result is less than 9,50.
IMPORTANT:
In case of no show to the competition the sponsorship fee is not refundable.
